John Dawson is an established authority in Australian management consulting.  With 25 years of leadership experience, and strong partnerships within the international consulting circuit, his work is highly respected by clients.

Since founding Dawson McDonald over 12 years ago, John has been instrumental in elevating organisations to new heights through the development and delivery of human performance improvement and change management programs.  He has produced highly successful interventions for clients from a range of industries to reduce costs, integrate services, instigate cultural change and turn around unprofitable operations.

John is also a Certified Performance Technologist.  To achieve this designation, he had to demonstrate to the International Society for Performance Improvement his competence in meeting 10 performance Standards.  These Standards provide a rigorous framework for the conduct of consulting interventions designed to improve individual and organisational performance.

John combines his skills with internationally renowned metrics and methodologies to coach an extensive range of executives, empowering them to propel their organisations to a new platform of operational success.

Carmel McDonald is a highly successful recruiter for senior executive roles and has credentials that span across areas including research, human resources management and performance enhancement.

The unique combination of her expertise in international market research and the development of progressive employee initiatives herald the start of a new era in performance management for her clients.

Carmel is one of Dawson McDonald's Directors; her work has left enduring marks on the operations of highly regarded organisations in defence, tertiary education, technology and finance industries.

Carmel's assignments include:
 
  • Conducting national surveys across each branch of the Australian subsidiary of an international financial services company.  Providing recommendations for future strategy to foster development opportunities for women and framework development for reporting to EOWA.
  • Developing breakthrough recruitment systems for a Commonwealth Government department for future employment direction, following a sequence of job spills.  Conducted psychological profiling on all employees, instructed on behavioural interview techniques, facilitated the interview panels and reported on recommendations for appointments.
  • Facilitating national focus groups, on behalf of industry training advisory bodies, consisting of CEOs, senior executives and human resource managers across three states to identify gaps in training processes.
